Lazy Left reef break near Midigama

Lazy Left

Intermediate Advanced

Midigama's most famous wave. A long left over deep reef.
On good days you can ride for hundreds of metres. The start is quick; after that the wave opens up and eases off. Works best around low tide. It gets busy when conditions are great, and rights sometimes show up too.
Get there early if you want more space.

Lazy Right

Beginner Intermediate

The best place in Midigama to learn on the reef.
A deep, mellow right that suits longboards and funboards. It holds up on bigger days.
When other spots are closing out, this one often still works. Long rides are common here, even when the waves are head-high or bigger.
Watch for urchins and rocks when you paddle in.

The most powerful wave in the area.
Short, shallow, and hollow.
Mainly a right, with the odd left on the right day. Built for experienced surfers who want tube rides and fast sections. The reef is shallow, so give it respect. The café across the road is a good spot to watch when you're sitting one out.

A reef break locals love.
Mostly rights, with good lefts on the right day.
Deep enough for smaller days, so beginners can try it when it's calm. Watch the rocks going in and out. Surf early and you'll often have it almost to yourself.
A popular spot with local surfers.
